‘All things horticultural’ is the theme in the World Garden at Lullingstone Castle, near Sevenoaks in Kent in 2010, with the introduction of a range of new events with plants as the central theme.
The season at Lullingstone will begin on Saturday, 3 April with guided tours of the World Garden exploring and observing the plants from the different continents as they come to life in early Spring. These tours take place on opening days in April.
The fourth Lullingstone Plant Fair will be staged on Sunday 9 May with a chance to purchase at the Plant Fair organised by the Hardy Plant Society on Sunday 12 September. These events will be staged on the lawn in front of Lullingstone Castle, the perfect setting with the chance to purchase from specialist growers, guided tours of the World Garden also available on each day.
A new event for Lullingstone on Sunday 6 June is the Festival of Flowers when contemporary displays will adorn the rooms of Lullingstone Castle and the day will be a celebration of the flower.
Lullingstone Castle and the World Garden are open exclusively for group visitors on Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the season with guided tours available of the House and World Garden.
